The all new and innovative Viking Freya is one of six new Longships by Viking River Cruises set to sail in 2012. This 190-passenger, 443-foot-long ship offers new features for river cruise ships including the Explorer Suites - two 445 square foot suites that feature a separate living room, bedroom and bathroom as well as a wrap-around veranda, the Aquavit Terrace - a lounge with retractable floor-to-ceiling windows that will be opened on nice days to create the perfect spot to lounge while enjoying a beverage or a light snack, and environmentally friendly additions including hybrid engines, solar panels and an organic herb garden located on the sun deck.
